Nesuto Announces Purposeful Partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities

Nesuto, a leading provider of hotels and apartment hotels across New Zealand and Australia, is proud to announce its official partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) New Zealand, who exist to provide accommodation and support to families with sick children in hospital.

This partnership marks a significant step forward in Nesuto's commitment to community engagement and support, building on Nesuto St Martin’s longstanding relationship with RMHC, having served as overflow accommodation in Auckland for the charity over many years.

As the pressure increases with the number of families staying at RMHC, Nesuto Apartment Hotels in Auckland will help alleviate accommodation constraints and provide a safe, clean, and caring place to stay to ensure RMHC never has to turn away a family with a sick child in hospital.

"Our partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities reflects our commitment to providing not just accommodation but also a sense of comfort and support to Kiwi families facing challenging circumstances,” said John Bristowe, Director of Operations at Nesuto Australia and New Zealand.

“We are excited about the possibilities that this partnership brings, to engaging our teams in cooking for families at RMHC’s Grafton House, pulling together a Nesuto team to participate in the Auckland Marathon to raise funds, optional payroll contribution programs, and on property fundraising events. We’re also inviting our valued guests to round up their invoices on check-out to support RMHC,” added John.

Nesuto St Martins will continue its special rates for two-bedroom apartments for RMHC-supported families, while complimentary room nights and car parking at Nesuto Stadium for RMHC staff and board members traveling are among the initiatives Nesuto is proud to offer.

While Nesuto's partnership with RMHC commences in New Zealand, there are plans to extend support to cities in Australia where both RMHC and Nesuto operate. This expansion underscores Nesuto's commitment to being actively involved in the communities it serves and is a natural fit for both organizations.

Last year RMHC facilities across New Zealand served 4,453 families, saving them close to $10 million in accommodation expenses while their child is in hospital. Of this $10 million, RMHC needs to fundraise $8 million each year.

RMHC provides free accommodation, meals, and emotional support so that families can focus on what matters most – their child.
